J12 - "Phobia" came out in 2006. "Dear Agony" came out in 2009. I don't think you can call that a quick turn-around time. I also don't think you can call the DA lyric batch "scribbled down." Ben seems to use a lot of the same words in his songs and at first I thought maybe he was just throwing words here and there without a purpose, but now that I've listened through the CD more and more, I don't think that's the case at all. These lyrics are just as good as the other albums, but perhaps in a different way. |

As for the meaning, per Kevin - "This is my favorite song I've ever written to date. It's the last song on "A Drop Oceanic". It's one of those songs that changed so much and became this thing that was even better than I expected. I rarely explain song meanings and I'm not gonna go really in depth but this is a song that basically just celebrates the fact that there is that one person who is one in a million. They are like no one else and they're the only one who really matters. They are a drop in the ocean. The one drop in a million. It felt like the right time to post this based on things that have went on. I actually stole a line from a previous song I wrote. I rarely do that but I just liked the line way to much to let it die. This song is very moving emotionally and I can't wait for people to hear it." |
