| Grizzly Bear – Speak in Rounds Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I thought that it was "Make another fist" when I listened to it on YouTube. I got the vinyl as well and that confirmed it. | |

Does he say "Counting on my relevant friends" in the chorus? Relative makes sense too but I always hear 'relevant'. As in, the friends that are relevant to the situation at hand or relative, as in, only relatively friends because they don't help him in this situation? I also hear "I'm lyin' next to you _and_ all of my clothes". It does sound like 'in' the first time but I hear 'and' every time after that. If what I hear is correct, it seems to me it's about a 'relationship' that he keeps getting into that is unhealthy for some reason or another. Like a girl he keeps going back to even though 'everybody knows how it's going to end'. He keeps finding himself next to her the morning after and his friends do nothing to keep the situation from happening. |

| Horse the Band – Golden Mummy Golden Bird Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I could do without the Xavier stuff. That is the only thing I don't like about the album. I don't find the show funny and It doesn't add anything to the music in my opinion. In fact, the random clips take me out of the music. There is too much of it and it isn't funny, clever, or entertaining. | |

Truly a beautiful song, I almost wish I hadn't heard it early. Cedric's vocal range is exhibited so well in this song. I love how the pitch goes up every two syllables when he sings: "The only way to see him in the tunnel where he slept". The harmony throughout the song is just amazing... perfect. I think it's too early to try to put meaning to it because AFAIK we don't know the inspiration behind this album yet. Honestly I wouldn't know where to start either. One thing I've heard people say is that this is the "Televators" of Octahedron. I did noticed that at the end of this track you hear that 'up and down hum' (sounds like an airplane engine hum almost) that you can also hear at the end of "Televators" and in "Take The Veil Cerpin Taxt". The organ part reminds me of something from "Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus". There is almost a ghost of those two albums in the end there. Great song, I'm really looking forward to the rest of the album. |

| The Mars Volta – Cotopaxi Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Just a maybe obvious note: Cotopaxi is a volcano in the Andes Mountains. The song is located at the top of a painting of Cotopaxi here: http://www.intotheoctahedron.com/. The painting is also the album art for the Cotopaxi Promo CDS. | |
