It seems like the speaker sees everyone else around her, laughing and setting up the world for Christmas, when she is alone. She realizes her faults and she tells herself that she'll get away from this place, because she doesn't really belong there anymore. In the lines "But it don't snow here...." she's really bitter, especially when she says she'll make a lot of money and get away, but then in the chorus it's like she's saying "You know, I didn't really mean it that way. I just want to escape somewhere, to disappear." |

It seems like she's saying "Man, I thought you would change. I tried to make you realize that you mattered, that I wanted you to see that I loved you. I was wrong."
And yeah, all the songs on Mirrorball seem more heartfelt and full of raw poetry than their studio counterparts. |

Well "Adia" comes from an African word meaning "being a gift", or just "a gift", so she probably is talking about herself. |

I get bugged by those posers, too. The first time I heard this song was on a Balto music video on YouTube (Yeah, weird.), and I thought, "Whoa, that is awesome!" I did my happy dances and I read it's on KH, and I paused. "Wait, what? Oh, whatever, STILL AWESOME." The happy dance continues.
I don't even care if it's on KH. :) |

It's some thoughts going through the woman's mind as she's with her kids: she knows she can't be out on the run all the time, because her kids have to have as normal a life as possible. She knows she'll have to go home and be a normal mom again. |
