| U2 – When Love Comes To Town Lyrics

For me, this one will always be about the time Jennifer 'Love' Hewitt came to my hometown of Downsview, Ontario, and appeared on a radio morning show hosted by Marilyn Denis. She talked about her upcoming film "I know what you did last summer" which was shock to me. I had no idea 'Love' was a psychic. |

This one's easy: A totem pole carver in the Mojave desert learns to speak English after being raised by wolves. The city of blinding lights is clearly El Paso, Texas, known for it neon light bulb factories. |

Yet another U2 song about finding paperclips in the back pocket of your trousers, and then searching out a wastebasket to dispose of them. I love the allusions to pesto sauce ("head like a lit cigarette") and former NBA point guard Isaiah Thomas (a "genius of compression" which refers to his prowess at the half-court press). |

| U2 – Unknown Caller Lyrics

This song is clearly about the joy of eating a steaming plate of waffles on brisk autumn morning. The 'unknown caller' is the maple syrup, which calls down from the bottle and covers our plate with syrup. The syrup is like the soul. The protagonist of the song is Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, a known waffle afficionado. I like the lyrics a lot. |
