I believe Darts to the Sea is focused around Rachel, and A.A. is more about Liz. If you look at the lyrics for "Good Luck" it mentions is first true lover (Rachel) leaving him, and then Jerry moves to New York. The Bronx (in NY of course) is mentioned in this song, and it says later in "Good Luck", 'I met the girl of my dreams and she helped me survive' (This would be talking about meeting Liz while in NY) In conclusion, I believe Jerry has had two major relationships, first being Rachel (Darts-Goodnight Alchemy), and Liz (Alphabets). Of course, I am not 100% of this. |

I'm wondering whether the 'fall' that takes place in this song represents the figurative fall mentioned in other Trophy Scars songs. i.e. "Jerry's the Name...", "Lesson 3", "Botanicas". Maybe this whole concept story is suppose to represent Jerry's ex-relationship, but of course with a crazy storyline to make it more exciting. Can anyone confirm if Jerry cheated on Rachel? and/or if they were married? |
