i think its about a relationship thats ending. the "sweetest memory" was the love the once shared. "do you want to see this last or do you even care?" signifys that someone still cares and the other just wants to move on. "don't come to OUR home, thinking i don't even care". it sounds like a long term relationship.. "years and years between the lines gone tainted". beautiful song. sad and emotional, but with that typical 18v sound that everyone loves! "here we are.." |

my favourite on suicide season by far. out of all bmth actually. i think its about a relationship where the girls into drugs and its killing her, and he "won't give up" on her. she's sick, but he'll be there til the end. the title is probably how he feels about the drugs cycle "the sadness" of the drugs "will never end". beautiful song. |

I never thought of the song like that, but it makes sense anyhow. I didn't know that FFTL had ANY drug related problems.. I had a different interpretation.. He's talking about climbing a ladder, so he's expectations are higher than they once were. "Home" is where he's used to being, but in the chorus says how he's "Never cared to try until now", so some newfound inspiration to try harder. Then the song ends with him, semi pessamistically stating that.. "Faith at least in the form of gravity keeps me low at the ladder" this definately hints at low self esteem and low self worth. He figures that its he's faith, he's destiny to not accomplish. "The distance grows as the ground approaches" is where he's given up all hope on he's dream, and he's self loathing has crushed him once again. Spnny's voice is so powerful. The verses are simple, yet so dramatic. Powerful words follewed by quietness. This is probably the most emotionally charged song by FFTL yet. I adore it. |
