Jason Mraz – Live High Lyrics 17 years ago
I think this song is mostly about leading a life that respects the world around us for what it is, and enjoying the journey, not the destination. This song almost made me cry the first time I heard it because it's the exact philosophy I share and his lyrics illustrate everything so eloqently.

In particular the line "the call of the wild is still in order nationwide, in the order of the primates, all our politics are too late" to me means that people, with all thier rules and goals and technology and distractions are oblivious to the world around them sometimes, where nature and life carries on in spite of the daily rush that we as humans feel, and the boundaries we put around ourselves.

I don't believe this song is anti-religion at all. When he says God is peeking through the blinds, I think he is hinting that the way we live now will ultimately be judged later by someone who knows our most intimate secrets, but the finesse here is awesome. He manages to communicate this without sounding preachy.
