| I think it's about a relationship that a guy has with a girl, they've obviously had something in the past but they're starting over. She comes back to him and she looks great, but the girl is dealing with some issues aka eating disorder. He really cares about her, but while she's destructing herself she's also destructing him. I think this song is about a guy and a girl who were in somewhat of a relationship, although the girl wanted to be official, the guy didn't want to commit because he thought he could find someone else, or someone better would come along. The girl wasted so much of her time thinking that he would eventually see that they were right for eachother, but he wouldn't commit, and he just continued to drag her along. She's asking him to stop wasting time, and take a chance. She really cares about this guy, even though he just continues to bring her down. She knows that she's good for him, and she just wants him to see that. Eventually she comes to terms with the fact that she doesn't need someone who doesn't think they need her. |

This song is such a good song to listen to after a breakup, or after a guy hurts you. I agree, this is by far one of Ashlee's best songs. I personally think it's about a broken relationship, where the guy left the girl because she wasn't what he wanted. Ashlee's saying that she might be hurt by what happened, but she's not going to change for somebody just because they want her to she's only going to change for herself. "Does the weight of consequence drag you down until it pulls you under and does she lend an eager hand to save you from the future of being with her Are you with her? " She's asking if he made the right decision in choosing this other girl over her, or if he regrets it now. |
