Toshio181 might be partially right, but the song has reference to New Mexico history. If you listen to the Spanish version (yes, it does exist, it's called Conquista) he mentions Corazon. |

the REd Shoes is a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale about a selfish girl who makes her mother buy her red shoes, and after that, she doesn't pray or pay any attention to the service. Then her mom gets sick but she goes to a party in her shoes instead of church. Then she starts dancing and her feet won't stop even after she's tired. So she has an executioner cut off her feet, and she tries to go to church, but the shoes follow her and stop her from going in. So she stays home and prays, and after that she's able to go to church again. She has a troubled life, but when she finally dies she goes to heaven and is never asked about or bothered by the shoes again. Very dogmatic fairy tale, if you ask me....... |
