first of all, this song is absolutely amazing. great lyricism and a fantastic track make this easily one of the best songs on the Arkham City soundtrack. if you know much about the back story, Batman came very close to actually killing Joker during the Hush story arc. what stopped him was Gordon reminding him that if he killed the Joker, he would be no better than those he fights against. Joker knows that Batman will never willingly kill him, so he pushes Batman as hard as he can to see if he'll eventually break and take a life. Joker doesn't care if he dies, he knows that Batman will never be able to live with himself after taking a life |

Going off of the dream theory, She's My Ride Home and 18th Floor Balcony could be in the same sequence of dreams, or even the same dream. |

Believe me when I say, it can and does happen. I have evidence of this, as well as being half of a relationship like it. Keep hoping and it'll happen. |

| Coheed and Cambria – When Skeletons Live Lyrics

*novel spoiler alert*
I think this song covers the final stages of Hohenberger's development of the Monstar virus. Hence "give us the monstar" being repeated. But i think it also covers the span of Hohenberger turning Knowledge and Beast over to Ryan after using the safe word, which leads to them being essentially nothing but skeletons. In doing so, the doctor gave Ryan the Monstar; as well as his and Pearl's respective deaths. Both had skeletons living in their closets. But the "When skeletons live" part could also be Inferno beginning his attack on House Atlantic by repeating the safe word and bringing Knowledge and Beast back to consciousness. |

When I listen to it, i kinda think of it as the end/aftermath of the assault on House Atlantic mentioned in the novel. "It's over, it's over, it's all coming apart" could signify both the destruction of House Atlantic by the KBI and Grail Arbor and the end of the KBI program when Inferno uses the safe word on Coheed and Cambria to erase their memories and start his work on Project Josephine. The laughing at the end of the track could be Ryan, who escaped the destruction of House Atlantic and disappeared mysteriously. |

This song actually fits my situation pretty well. I'm off at college and met my girlfriend in let's just say an unconventional way. I met her on a site called omegle.com and got to talking and liked her personality, so I gave her my e-mail address at the college. The next day I get on to check my mail and discover that she had e-mailed me. One thing led to another, and now here we are. We talk over a webcam pretty much nightly, but since she lives in Oregon while I'm in Pennsylvania there's a bit of trouble with the time difference. There have been many nights where I've been up until the early hours just talking to her about anything and everything, and will be many more until she moves out here next summer. So many times I found us with her head on my stomach (in the form of my laptop) and trying not to fall asleep so we could continue talking. |

The first time I heard this song was on a commercial for the Dante's Inferno game. I have to say that I was planning on getting it anyway, but the song fit the story so well that I had to look it up and listen to it about 20 times. Great song. |

The album is the prequal to the entire story. I think it covers Ryan's rise to power, and the beginning of the resistance as well as the KBI program. |

That's because it is a TPFI song. The reason it's under Coheed is because Claudio is TPFI. It's his side project. People hear him doing vocals and automatically assume it's a Coheed song. |

I agree that the song could be about a guy that has been close to a girl for a long time. But for me it's more like they're close friends, like they grew up together or something, and he developed these feelings for her while hers aren't as strong. I don't think he's trying to have sex with her so much as just convincing her to be with him. She's probably been in a relationship with another guy, or currently is, but the narrator thinks that she could do better with him.
"If you only just would let me, only just one time, then be happy with the consequence with whatever's gonna happen tonight" he's trying to convince her to at least give him a shot, whatever happens is for tomorrow to decide, that way she can't look back and regret not giving it a go.
"Can we take a ride, get outta this place while we still have time" Basically he's saying that "the night is ours, let's go somewhere. Life will still be here in the morning." He's trying to get her to loosen up, to see that there is at least the possibility that she could be happy with him.
I've had this song stuck in my head for the past week, and have been playing it almost nonstop in my dorm room for at least 3 days. And every time my thoughts go back to this one girl I was friends with in highschool. Amazing song. |

People, it's IRO-Bot! had to get that out of the way first. Second i think some of the lyrics are still wrong.
First i think it's "Oh favored captain, a word with you." not "A favor captain, a word with you."
Then i think it's
"IRO-Bot will never die,
IRO-Bot will never die
You look down but far from out,
and the paper reads 'You lose'
IRO-Bot will never kill." |

I agree with this entirely. As a guy who doesn't fit the "perfect man" image (average height, brown eyes, etc.) things haven't always worked out for me with the ladies. They have no problem being friends, but anything else seems out of the question to them. |

This has got to be my favorite song off of the album. Closely seconded by The Crow & Butterfly. An amazing song, fits me pretty well, according to urasaisaru's idea of it being about a guy who loves a girl that only thinks of him as a friend. My whole high school life in a nutshell. |

The whole album is absolutely amazing. Sound of Madness got me back into Shinedown again. And if you didn't know the band, you'd never think they could sing something like this or If You Only Knew and Call Me. Or such a great classic as Simple Man. If you don't have this album yet. | The Killers – When You Were Young Lyrics

Ok. Here's my interpretation of this amazing song that has told my life (from the perspective of the guy in my interpretation) in a nutshell. Basically you have a girl who imagined the perfect guy when she was younger. However, she hasn't found him because she's been looking in the wrong places. Possibly had some bad relationships, basically judging on looks. But the guy who can save her doesn't exactly fit that image ("he doesn't look a thing like Jesus"). He may not look perfect, but he's still a gentleman. He speaks well, and means well. Quite possibly he's been there the entire time, as a friend maybe, without her realizing it, and has had these feelings about her but could never say anything. |
