This is a weird observation but does anyone else think the music reminds them of the score from the movie The Truman Show? That's probably just me, but every time I listen to this song, I hear the similarities. |

Thank you devilslittlesister! I completely agree. No one's doubting that this song is well written but it's pretty ridiculous how immature she was about the whole situation. She's acts so young even for her age (I'm 20 as well but sometimes I forget she is too) it's like did you really think dating an older man, like JOHN MAYER, would've been a good idea? Everyone's so happy that she wrote such a kick ass song to stick it into John's face but I think it's a little petty. John's definitely too old for her but girl's gotta take responsibility just like the rest of us.
And I have to add that adding John Mayer's sound in the beginning of the song is so wrong to me. Write about whatever you want about whatever he did to you but don't steal his sound. John Mayer is an incredibly talented musician who has gone through 10 years of transitions of music and lyricism. If his sound is so easily heard than maybe Taylor should've stuck with her own music. It's not originally and it's not fair to mock John Mayer for it since his sound has nothing to do with his relationship with Taylor Swift. She does this with three other songs. Ridiculous. |
