Pink – Sober Lyrics 13 years ago
I love this song, and for me, it is about that moment when you realize you are not a prisoner of your obsession anymore, (this obsession can be anything, drugs, alcohol, a person, doesn't matter), when following perhaps years of slavery - your sober state becomes good and natural again, not just something temporary controlled by your obsession.

Oasis – (It's Good) To Be Free Lyrics 16 years ago
For me, this is one of the best oasis songs, and, also, one of their best lyrics. However, i don't think it is about enjoying little things in life, but about dreams that can never be fulfilled. Namely, people often think that "living by the sea" is the key for freeness, that means there is a chance for breaking out from every day life, but we all know that this is just a mere illusion. /This is the same image as Champagne Supernova' "people believe that they gonna get away for the summer"/ Of course, we all want to have a "free life", and sometimes, we are foolish enough to believe in its possibility, but i think that the lyrics states that the constant reapeating of the lines "it's good to be free" is nothing else but a way of self-persuasion that obviously cannot be successful. So, all in all, there is a deep sarcastic meaning in this little song which makes it simply perfect.

Muse – Feeling Good (Nina Simone cover) Lyrics 16 years ago
absolutely. but i think nina simon's version is also very bittersweet. i love both of them. this song is definitely not about feeling good. on the contrary.

Oasis – Soldier On Lyrics 16 years ago
I love Liam's songs and I also love his lyrics in spite of the fact that he has difficulties with words due to his poor educational background. However, what makes his lyrics so powerful is this simplicity and straightforwardity.
For me Soldier On is about the whole life, and Liam's highly pessimistic world view can be captured in the fact that he uses less than 50 words for describing it. Namely, the song tells us that life is basically nothing else but a pointless marching toward the very end, and in the meantime does not happen very much: we just sing songs alone or not, without knowing the ultimate truth, and in the end we are gone. That's it. And still we do it.
