This was just selling out pure and simple. It has no real statement about school shootings. It appeals to a sick fanbase they know they have (not all of their fans but you have to admit that alot of kids obsessed with E/D are into this music and they are willing to exploit that clearly) the last part seems like it was just thrown in to avoid controversy. |

Suk i have actually researched columbine and you need to stop ranting about it. First of all, dylan did listen to marylin manson, nobody here is claiming manson caused the murder so just cool it fanboys. Defending them is one thing but when you act hostile before an attack is made, you dont help your case at all. |

does it freak anyone else out to listen to that footage of Bryce dawkins (i think that was his name) who shot himself on live tv. Look up the video if you think that's no big deal XP that thing scared the shit out of me as a kid. that audio just brought back alot of memories. |

great point but the song is clearly making it sound like science is competing with faith or trying to take faith away and thats just silly and pretty stupid IMO. I do find the song to be ignorant but because SOAD are so big, nobody likes to consider that such "gods" of rock could be wrong. |

wlyn, you got most of it but i dont think shooters are pushed to the limit by bullies. I think its the stress put on kids by teachers but the students get blamed for it. "oh these kids were tormented by the jocks" When really its the teachers and parents who tell these kids that if they fail here, they will fail in life. |

I got an american psycho feel from this (or rather thought of this song while watching american psycho) decadence means a pointless life and a pointless life is painful. When you live a decadent life you are pretty much a zombie. You go do the same thing every day. You eat but it all tastes the same. People(kids and teens) get so sick of it that they want some variety in life that they hurt themselves. Just my thought. |

scary girl watch the movie again. I did not read the book so maybe your right but in the movie he does not say it was a "horror show durango" he said it was "a real horrorshow" the same way its used here. It is used as a noun but still describing something. Like calling a woman a "brick house"(wtf does that mean?) Brick house is not an adjective but its still describing something. |
