Prob favorite MM song, my personal opinion= A nice heart and a white suit and a baby blue sedan And I am doing the best that I can - He is a young kid in love dressing up, and borrowing his friend's dad's sedan so he can impress his girlfriend for prom. He is trying the best that he can All the eunuchs, they were standing in rows Singing, "Please stud us out just as fast as you possibly can" -when he's there he sees that all the rest of the guys at the dance are just overhorny teens (please stud us out), who don't understand that sex is supposed to be meaningful (eunuchs) Sad song, last dance and no one knows who the band was And Henry, you danced like a wooden Indian - Establishing this is a prom, Henry is a friend dances awk with his gf Except this one mattered and I felt it had a spirit -This last dance mattered to me, it was the perfect romantic song, it was where we felt love And I shot the story because I didn't hear it that way -but that's really not what i was feeling at the time, (you know how you will change a story sometimes). Isaac saying forget everything i just said. And it's hard to be a human being And it's harder as anything else -Isaac saying literally it's hard to be human beings, hard to feel all the emotions we do, hard to say things, hard to be us. And I'm lonesome when you're around And I'm never lonesome when I'm by myself -whenever we're together i feel detached from you, but when you're away and i'm thinking about you you're perfect. He's making her seem better to him than she is And I miss you when you're around - I miss the person i remembered you as. I miss the perfect person i loved all together Isaac is telling the story of there prom to her to remind her of how they used to be when Isaac realizes he's changing he story, and abandons it. The main point he is saying to her is i miss how we used to be. I miss who you used to be. my opinion, sorry if some of it has been said before |

My opinion.... Isaac is singing about how he wants to die so he can figure out what is next. Isaac is an Atheist, but constantly he still sings about heaven, which i think is him saying he believes in an afterlife, maybe not a god, but an afterlife. The only thing that is keeping him from "leavin the livin" is the promise that if he commits suicide he won't go to "heaven" so he drinks and drives, and tries to die accidentally so he can die and go to his idea of "heaven" |
