I think this song is probably about how the band stays together despite the tough times (hence the crying shark). It could also be about how appearances can be deceiving, like how someone can appear to be in total control of his or her life, but in reality is plagued with sadness that no one sees. |

I think this song is about child abuse. Perhaps the child is being abused by a close family member ("none can tell you who is good or evil", "you don't know anymore what love is"). And all the "left right straight ahead" implies that the child is trapped in the child abuse and can't figure out how to escape it without, perhaps, hurting other loved ones. |
