this is the first Shinedown song i ever heard, and i loved it. yea, he could most definitely be talking about drugs, but he could be using it as a metaphor, he's trapped in his mind, when he says "jump in the water," he's trying to get out, and at the end when he says "please don't erase me," he's saying that he doesn't want to become so empty that he's not even there anymore. i don't know. that probably doesnt' even make any sense, but it's my take on it all. |
