Eagles – Long Road Out of Eden Lyrics 16 years ago
I agree that the song is about the war in Iraq. My husband and I saw the Eagles in concert in Birmingham, England, on July 8th, 2009, and the whole time they were singing this song, they had a film of soldiers, bombs, etc., war scenes, playing on the screen behind them.

The All-American Rejects – Straitjacket Feeling Lyrics 16 years ago
It is definitely "Yesterday was hell". Also, after the line "and just the thought of you I fear, I believe instead of saying "it falls away", it should be "Grip falls away", as in the fear that's griping him.

BTW, Doctor Wombat, you're correct about the spelling in a way; straitjacket is the most common spelling, however (don't you hate that word)for whatever reason, Tyson chose to use the variant spelling. Less popular, but correct all the same.

The All-American Rejects – Believe Lyrics 16 years ago
At a November 2008 concert in NY, Tyson told the audience a story of how three-and-a-half years ago he had a CD with two songs; one of them being the now infamous hit "Move Along," which he gave to two guys from their record label to listen to. He played it for them and one said, “You did it, kid. This is the song.”

Sometime after, this same friend from the label passed away. Ritter said for the new album, he was striving to write something special, something more than just pop music for his friend. Closing the night with “Believe,” Ritter said he really believed his friend was listening “up there.”

The All-American Rejects – The Wind Blows Lyrics 16 years ago
I have a Boise wave radio that enables me to hear stuff that I can't hear well on my iPod. That said, I believe in chorus, that instead of "there your air goes", Tyson is saying "there your heart goes". It makes more sense anyway, in my humble opinion. In an interview Tyson did for the video "The Wind Blows", which debuts on 4/27, he said the song was about a relationship that just ended. Not badly. It was just time for it to end. With all due respect to the man who wrote the lyrics, the song sounds to me like the girl cheated on him and then dumped him, and now she's having second thoughts. "There your heart goes." It also seems to fit more with his constant theme of girl cheating on him, dumping him, breaking his heart. It breaks my heart to know that he was once burned so badly that it not only impacts his music, but also his whole outlook on life.

OneRepublic – Come Home Lyrics 16 years ago
Ryan Tedder said the song is about the people left back home when a loved one goes to war. He specifically wrote the song from the perspective of his good friend's brand new fiancée, who is hoping to God that her husband-to-be will come back home.
