Maim makes so much more sense than name. Maim means to make defective or disfigure. It goes perfect. He is basically saying...'Braid your hair like a sister, change you like a hurricane' ...like a hurricane changes everything in its path. And it even makes more sense when you read the verse that says "Wrap your head in a picket fence Rebuild after the hurricane" Maim you like a hurricane - change for the worse Rebuild after the hurricane - restore you (hence get-well) |

| He is not maiming the hurricane. he is maiming the person he is singing about. And its quite simple, maim means to make defective or to disfigure, which, I believe, a hurricane does. And it goes perfect with the verse because he is talking about disfiguring the person he's singing about 'braid your hair like a sister, bring change like a hurricane' that's pretty much what he is saying. | |

| This song reminds me of the the movie Dead Man Walking. How the main character Matthew, is not a cold-blooded killer. He truly does feel sorrow for the lives he has affected and would take back everything if he could. He is sentenced to death, and prays that the family will forgive him and that his actions were wrong, and he apologizes. Not every criminal is a blood-thirsty animal. Some do have a warm hearts, but were influenced by drugs, friends, ect, to do terrible things that does not define their true character. | |
