Song could be about a cuple that broke up but they are giving it one more try, but the girl isn't doing everything she can to save the relationship, she is doing the opposite and the guy sees that and knows their relationship wont work anymore. the line : "you looked back but you were never the same, cause you stepped back when you had the chance to leave" to me this means that the girl had the chance to just walk away right before they got back together with the guy, but she opted to try again but she was never the same, never loved him like she used to. |
