| Just wanted to comment about the last part of the song, starting with the lyrics "First time around, second took so long," finishing all the way at "twelve major chords." As stated it's mostly referring to music theory, but interestingly enough, during the entire twenty-four bars that this plays, it actually goes around the circle of fourths which is a common musical device, touching all 12 major chords in fourths, starting with G, then C, D, F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, F# (Gb), B, E, A, D, and finally back to G, two bars per chord. So that's what it refers to by the circle of fourths line (a meta-reference, I guess), and the "twelve major chords." | |
