Ok this might sound a little crazy but this song is related to the massive suicide that took place in 1997. Yes you're probably saying im crazy. I said the same thing until i looked into it. Google Heavens Gate, and you'll see what im talking about. Now this is what i heard from someone and its just one way of looking at the song. But again look up Heavens Gate and read the story on it and compare it to the lyics....they really do go together. |

This is a beautiful song. Its one of those songs that can just make you cry in an instant. I dont know what the song is about. But in my point of view, it reminds me of someone who is thinking of a loved one who has pass. And they cant get over them. Im sure i might be wrong but for some reason everytime i hear this song it remind me of death and love. |

If you ask me, I think he is asking his lover to leave with him. Personally thats what i get from this song. He is telling her if i told you reasons why would you leave you life tonight. The life being a previous relationship. He also says "would you take my hand tonight", when do most runaways happen? At night. I might be wrong, but everytime i hear this song thats what comes into my head.

I think the song is talking about two people who were in love with each other. Now things arent the same and they both realize that its time to move on. "the rivers from your eyes cant change my mind" i feel like the tears use to be a weak point for him. But now he is facing the reality and not allow her pain to give in. "meet in another life". I feel like he loves her so much that maybe it would work another time. |
