Yes, I get that it is about a dead boy friend/girl friend. But for me it is about being in a relationship with an emotionally distant person. |

Love this song. This is totally a projection here but, I think this song is about having feelings for someone and wanting to have reciprocated. |

I think this song is about him singing to a girl (or whoever) who has had a lot of bad relationships, she is pessimistic towards relationships/love because other people have used her. This guy is saying I'm not like them, I really love you and care for you, take a chance on me. |

I agree with it being about child abuse. "When we were young, we did enough. When it got cold, we bundled up." To me this line is about surviving child abuse (the cold) and putting up the necessary defences to do so. Having the attitude, "I can't be told" is a direct result (for me) of bundling up. |

I think it's about experimenting with meaningless sex. It's sounds cool but I'm the end it's not real. It's like a dream and holds no relation to anything meaningful, kind of like a dream. |

This is a expressive and connective song for me. The good thing about art is that it can interpreted in many different ways. I think this song is about the nature of Good and Evil, suffering in general in the context of his/our relation to the Creator. Powerful, emotional song. |

| Thursday – Understanding In A Car Crash Lyrics

I think this song is about lost/dealing with a traumatic event. Whatever Geoff's individual experience was with loss, I don't know. But we all experience lost at some point in our life's. I lost a friend in a car crash and all the imagery used in this song really, really relates to me. Before losing my friend I felt that the song was relating the growth that comes from losing something and questioning his the methods he used to cope with the loss. For me some of the methods I used to cope were drugs (vicodin and weed), hanging out with people (sometimes shady people), and finally running a lot. Its not the bad things that happen to us that will do us in it is how we deal with the bad things that will make or break us. For me this song is about moving on or at least having the want to move on. There are also many feelings communicated about the process of losing something by this song. I hear (mainly) guilt, sorrow, regret, and dare I say hope. This will always be one of my favorite songs. RIP ADAM SHARUK 9/22/83 to 3/12/2006. <3 |
