I think this song is about Abigail Williams. Or Ann Putnam or any of the others. Because... In the 16 hundreds, people were accused of witch craft. Of course, Abigail Williams was lying like all the other girls, no one was a witch. Everything was a lie, but, the people wanted to beg for their innocents. But, the other lyrics truely don't make sense if this is the meaning of the song. :) Hope I helped. |

no no no, this song is about a guy saying this part... "I want to hold you to the sun I want to be your faithful one I want to show you all the beauty You don't even know you hold I'm hurting you for your own good I'd die for you - you know I would I'd give up all my wealth To buy you back the soul you never sold I want to mix our blood And put it in the ground So you can never leave I want to earn your trust Your faith your heart You'll never be deceived" all the other stuff like that too and the chorus is her yelling "liar" because he lied to her. the "are you suffering?" part is her getting her revenge on him because he lied to her (hence the song title, liar) and the "Show me your suffering I want your beautiful suffering I want to see your pain" is her wanted him to hurt just like he hurt her by lying right to her face about all this. |

I think this song is about how good looks can bring stuff from guys and how ugly people aren't getting that attention, "The occasional free drink I never asked for", as in, A guy buys her drinks because she's good looking.. "Invitation to a stranger's car I'm blessed With the ability to rend a grown man tongue-tied" and I think that strangers ask her to come to their house and she loves how she looks because she can leave a man tongue tied because of her beauty. "I think my ego would fall right through the cracks in the floor If I couldn't count on men to slap my ass anymore" and I think this means, if she was ugly, she wouldn't have all the men doing stuff for her. But this is only how I see it in my eyes. |
