It DOES say "That you CALLED because you never even knew that it was hurting me." even though it doesn't make sence it's very clear thet he says that. But I think that this song is about a father who's leaving or divorcing the boy's/his sons mother cause he's been fooling around(cheating on her). But the father still loves her and he says "and all of this has got nothing to do with you". cause his son needs to know that he's not leaving beacause of him(the son), that it's not his fault at all. |

I don't remember where but I've seen and heard like 10 times that this is about a crush Brandon had on a football player in highschool. It could be wrong though..rumor spreads but who knows? BUT! I totally agree with Anathermia on that: "songs can have general meanings. Just because brandon flowers wrote this song doesn't mean that he himself went through this experience." I think too many people take it like.. all their (The Killers') songs are about Brandon Flowers. Like in 'Where The White Boys Dance' it's not about Brandon being gay. It's about some GIRL that has a boyfriend that is cheating on her with another man. |

It is also against their religion to drink alcohol and to have premarital sex and from what I hear and understand in his lyrics he's had some groupies problems BEFORE he got married. and everyone knows he drinks..or well he just quit recently. I don't want him to be bisexual but I don't doubt it, at least he's not gay. And even if he was, so what?? he makes GREAT music, writes AWESOME lyrics and has the most BEAUTIFUL voice:D |

This song is like a story, he's talking about A girl and A guy who is cheating on her with A-nother guy, it doesn't have anything to do with HIM(Brandon). But still, I don't doubt he's bisexual, I mean in the Hot Fuss days he wore make-up, and not like a punk or a rocker,(just a some eyeliner)no, he wore maskara and lip gloss too:P And I've heard so many times that 'Andy You're A Star' is about a guy he had a crush on in high school. Apperantly the guy was on the football team..something like that. I don't know though, and I honestly don't care if he's straight or bisexual, but I don't beleive he's gay. Just an opinion here..;P Since everyone is saying the lyrics have something to do with his relationship with God, I think that this part means... You know when you don't know what to do or who to talk too you can always talk to God. "When there's nowhere else to run" God is a everyones father but it is always said that the people who beleive and trust in him are his children. "Is there room for one more son?" |
