First out - fucking love this song - yellowcard own. I think This song is intended to seem written from two different people, The first few choruses, are FROM the girl/guy who is in a rational state of mind, and realises there are times when he/she is NOT in a rational state of mind and won't let anyone help them, and realise that there are times when they dont want to be saved - and that this freaks the living shit out of them. And then i think the last chorus, is supposed to seem like its being sung by a close friend, mirroring the persons from the first half of the songs thoughts, possibly after they have taken there own life, and its reflective. I am afraid right now You already let me down You are the one who can't be saved If only I could say I am afraid right now You never will get out You never let yourself be saved You are so afraid You are so afraid See my suicide theory? anyway im probably way off, just my thoughts |

I think this song is about being famous, or some kind of larger than life person, such as an actor, or in the case probably a rockstar, and everyone just thinks of you as this big rockstar, and no one remembers that he's actualy still a person as well and that he can 'still bleed' You are the one that I need You know that I can still bleed Bring me back to life Bring me back to life You bring me down from my cloud You keep my feet on the ground Bring me back to life Bring me back to life I think this basically is talking about the one friend who still knows sees him as a person, and reminds HIM of the fact that he's still a person I think the title of the song, 'cut me mick' is a refference to the line 'you know that i can still bleed' , and the line ' you bring me down from my cloud' - to cut him, (metaphorically) would be to make him bleed, and making him bleed would remind him, and others that he is still a person, thus bringing him down from his cloud, and bringing him back to life. Maybe im way off :] but thats my thoughts |
