I have to say, there is a slang. i and people i knew in my younger days, for hosing; which simply meant to give a snappy or crippling joke on someone (usually a friend)...."you were totally hosed!" I just think that oldham's simplicity is his gift. While he is obviously well read( i.e. Heidegger, it was true what one poster wrote about the dif. between dread and fear), it does not mean he has much hidden in hopes of allusion or inference. I think. it would lead to a more simple everyday joy in life being praised. I think. |
