Doesn't anyone else think it sounds like I Might Be Wrong? I came on here wondering if anyone knew what the connection was, and no one's even mentioned it. |

cause quite honestly... if you believe in evolution I don't think you're using your brain... If you look at all the evidence it's quite obvious that Evolution falls short in many areas, the only explanation for it all is intelligent design, life can't be explained any other way. Because of that, and many other reasons I am a Christian. |

why wouldn't he have 2 copies? it's worth it for a Radiohead cd. I've been trying to collect their whole discography on hardcopy for awhile now |

It's probably because he's a Radiohead fan that I like his music so much. When I first heard this song I thought he was doing a cover of Karma Police until he started singing. It sounds almost identical to it. |

I'm pretty sure this song is the reason my fast forward and rewind buttons are broken.... It was worth it though. Bought this CD knowing nothing about this band and started spreading it among the people I know and got Remy Zero at least 20 new fans. Love this CD. So glad I bought it. |

I'm not sure if I'm just hearing things or not, but it sounds like at the end a voice is saying something like "Don't forget the alcohol" and another voice is going "No, no, no, no, no, no, no" |

Ok, First time I heard this song, it was in the back ground so I wasn't really listening to it, then I heard the screaming and I was like whoa! what is this?
Then I looked it up again later (I was already a fan of The National) and I found it and absolutely love it.
Like they said before me, I Think it's all about someone who wishes his life could have gone differently and his friends are bringing him back to the real world and telling him to clean himself up.
However, I think this song is from the perspective of the one who wishes his life could have gone differently and when I hear the screaming part, It seems to me like a realization that he's pushed his family away, and now his friends are falling away too. |

okay time to say what I think, I have to explain what I think about the album first though. I think this album is the memories of someone the singer loved passing away, and the result is the singer becomes an alcoholic. If you take this album and think of it from a drunken perspective, you realize that everything is mixed up on the album(I think he's drunk because of the first song, it sounds very chaotic, and the piano sounds sloppy, and at the beginning he says I am an American aquarium drinker). The beginning song informs you what state the singer is in, and if you look at the album backwards you realize that there is someone that he loves deeply at the end, and at the beginning the person is not there. The person disappears right where this song is. So I think this song is about the loss of someone dear to him, and how things that he never thought would change happening, completely changing his life from that point forward. |
