Well, this is what I got from the song. It is after dark, and a young teenage girl takes a walk outside. ("Deep into a dying day I took a step outside") It's deep in the day, essentially because it's after dark and it's later on in the day. She did not do anything wrong, she was minding her own business, and then some1 kidnaps her and sells her into prostitution! Kind of like what happened in the movie "taken". She may never see her loved ones again ("Old loves they die hard") and if she ever lied to one of them and they are still believing the lie to be a truth, then it is even worse to her.... Okay... well... er..... never mind those two lines, here comes the chorus. The chorus is not in perspective of the girl, rather in perspective of her "customer", per say. He wants an angel for a moment of love (he just wants to get laid.) Her virgin mary undone, basically that means that the girl is a virgin and her cherry is going to explode to someone she doesn't even know. This guy is horny and that basically spells out "I'm in love with my lust". Burning angel wings to dust is also mentioning losing virginity, assuming that now that she is no longer a virgin she lost her angel wings. She's going down so frail and cruel, meaning she is forced to give this guy a blowjob but she doesn't want to. Okay let's see here..... Marco? I thought the guy's name was Emppu. Oh well. "Last dance, first kiss". She has been heavily sedated to where she cannot walk anymore, so she will no longer be able to do walking/movement activities anymore, such as dancing. However, she has received her first kiss from this.... guy. "Your touch, my bliss." Also from the customer's perspective, saying that he enjoys her "company".. if ya know what I mean! And finally, "beauty always comes with dark thoughts." This girl was attractive, and that is probably why she was kidnapped in the first place. The guy who kidnapped her may not have gone for her if she was ugly, but just because of the fact that she was hot he saw money in her. And that is my interpretation of this song. |
