In the music video it starts with a girl commiting suicide by hanging herself. And in the end the singer of distrubed almost shoots himself and he then wakes up in padded room. So this song is obviously about commiting suicide and how it basiccly damns you. "Devin", who commited suicide was damned by going to hell and the singer, I'm guessing didn't suceed in killing himself, was damned by being institutionalized. |

I think the song is about dying and going to heaven. "Leave your things behind" as in you can't take things with you to the afterlife. "Such boundless pleasure We've no time for later now You can't await your own arrival" meaning heaven is a "boundless pleasure", there is no time there and you can't wait till you get there. "So let go, let go Jump in Oh well, whatcha waiting for? It's alright Cause there's beauty in the breakdown" I think means if one is dying then just let go and go into heaven. Beauty in the breakdown i think means there is beauty when someone dies. "Oh, it's so amazing here" means how amazing heaven is. |

If you watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nju5lk8uT6A chad says that the songs about a girl doing drugs which is why he altered the drum part to add more tom work. The Toms create a more scattered feel much like when someone is on drugs. The Lyrics definatly seem that the guy is a "playa" or some variation of that but has chad ever lied to us before? |
