| i'm totally stuck on this song, so i decided to look up the lyrics. i'm definitely confused, but the first thought i had about meaning was a guy who no longer wants to get married but doesn't want to admit it to his soon-to-be. the noose metaphor, banquet table reference, and looking pretty in the glass all make me think of marriage and weddings. talking it over with jim and mom make sense, but i'm not sure why you'd talk this over with the cops. puzzled by the metal wheel and sip from the tube... anyway, just some thoughts. | |
