This is such an amazing song, it's too bad there's not more people who appreciate it. Shad is an amazing artist. I wish other rappers could follow in his direction. I see this song as commentary on the corrupt transformation of the music industry, and of the individual artists succumbing to it. |

x's on the back of your hands, washed them in the bathroom to drink like the bands, and the set list, you stole off the stage, has red and purple lipstick all over the page. bruises cover your arms, shaking in the fingers with the bottle in your palm, and the best is, no one knows who you are. just another girl alone at the bar. so i'm guessing that it's just me, but that part kind of hurts. i mean ya she's a skank, but just the way she's described...idk, it just makes me sad. maybe cause i can sort of relate to her. |
