i love the lyrics and singing. the guitar riffs and drumming also go really well with it. i think he seems to be mocking religion, "Yeah, that's the thing about charisma
It makes everyone believe" people believe religion because they are convinced by charismatic talkers. The whole last verse seems to say that Jesus promises but doesn't deliver.

this song seems to tell a story of a Jewish person in a concentration camp imagining about getting out "So keep your wick in the air And your feet in the fetters 'till the day..."
The opening line "Born to multiply" describes what Hitler though of Jewish people. They were multiplying like bacteria. But he/she knows they will most likely go back to their religious prudish life. "And your shape on the dance floor Will have me thinking such filth I'll gouge my eyes" an "Dare to be one of us girl"
It almost seems like the persons horrible experience in the concentration camp has made them realize that they want to make more of their life, "Yeah Himmler in your coat You don't know how long I have been watching The lantern dim starved of oxygen So give me your hand and let's jump out the window" (Himmler was Hitlers right hand man)
Also, "Will you be pulled from the ocean But just a minute too late Or changed by a potion And find a handsome young mate for you to love" will they die in the camp? or will they get out and find love?

Yea he seems to be singing about how death is really an escape for people (don't weep for them), considering how fucked up the world is. He also seems to make fun of people in western countries just living their lives, ignorant to all the horrible things happening around the world, while at the same time wasting away their own lives. A really depressing song, but i love it. |
