I think this song is about cheating.It seems to me that the girl cheated nad or is cheating on the guy or at least the guy suspects she did/is. 'It started out with a kiss' is either the singer kissed her once and fell in love with her and is now with her, or the guy knows/thinks she kissed someone else once and is now having and affair with him. So now, anytime she goes out with male friends or the guy she's suposedly cheating on him with, he gets jealous and imagines them together and he feels sick thinking about it;'And my stomach is sick, and it's all in my head'. but when he confronts her about it, she denies it;'Choking on your alibis','I never', but he's telling himself that he has to wake up and do something about it, cos he's being too trusting and easy; Open up my eager eyes
