| I love this song, it's about breaking free from a relationship, looking back on it and realising you weren't so happy together afterall. I can really relate to this, I was heartbroken when my last relationship failed, I thought I'd never get over him but months down the line, I looked back and saw how unhappy I'd actually been with my ex boyfriend, he was such a negative person to date but I couldn't see it at the time. Now I feel so free. This song is just about coming into your own and seeing that there's so much more to live for. | |

the correct lyric IS "a chinese", it's quite common for typo's to be made even on the official album sleeves. the song is about her mother, she's talked about it in many interviews :) my favourite line is "I know it doesn't seem so fair, but I'll send you a postcard when I get there" I'm not quite sure if by "not fair" that she means it's unfair that she gets to travel the world and go to all these crazy places that her mother does not get to go to, or if she means that it's unfair for her mother when she (Lily) is away from her so much. I hated this song at first but it's finally grown on me and it's really cute! |
