i like that this song is kind of like a lullaby because its a little cliche. lullabies are sweet and bring comfort/happiness yet the lyrics are depressing. i think he meant it to be cliche because his feelings for this girl that has walked out of his life are cliche: he misses her and fondly remembers her yet wants what is best for her which is for her to go out into the world and experience it without him holding her back. i dont think it leaves us completely hopeless though because he holds hope for her happiness/future. |
