Fantastic song, creates a great ambient with mixture of Bruce's sad vocal and that incredible Clapton's solo at the end. Baker kills every song he plays :) |

This is my favourite Cream song, too. Although Baker isn't much exposed here, Clapton is still rockin', and Bruce is at his best. Incredible lyrics; lonely man and a tree are the same, forgoten and polluted by the society. Very deppresive song. It' doesn't have to be litteraly about ecology and environment, imo it is more about mass of people who live in the city and fell just lonely, becouse all they can care for is their own lives and needs; they just don't have time to look at the growing tree. |

Amazing song, instant classic. Black Sabbath was much influenced by this song... |

| The Doors – Summer's Almost Gone Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Amazing song...one of their best underratted ballads. "At night we swim the laughin' sea" - Morrison is a true poet. |

| The Doors – Unhappy Girl Lyrics | 17 years ago |

The girl can be unhappy for numerous reasons...it could be devise as a drugs, or just a bad habbit. I always tought that he sings:" You a god in a prison of your own devise", but I see here that is not a case. Too bad. |

| The Doors – Queen Of The Highway Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Strange...John Densmore (drummer) wrote in Doors biography that they screwed up this song. They didn't give a good musical background to the Morrison's lyrics (!!!) He might be my favourite drummer, but imo he's tottaly wrong about this song...it's fantastic! |

| The Doors – L.A. Woman Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This is master-piece...such a ritam, atmosphere, lyrics, guitar, drums, everything is perfect... IMJM4371 is right about the meaning (his post is on the first page)...trough the whole song Morrison is in dilema: he loves her, but he suspects she is a prostitue (lost angel). In the end he finally choses as the lyrics states: "L.A. Woman, you're my woman." |

| The Doors – Break on Through (To the Other Side) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| It is about a lot of things, but maybe most about suicide, or just passing away. The other side is kinda a after life. "Break on trough" is also a title of one of the last chapters in John Densmore's (drumer) book "Riders on the storm"... I think it is a chapter in which he descibes Morrison's death and how he felt loosing a friend | |
