At first I thought this song was about a relationship...But now I think it's about: The guy has an addiction and he's trying to get rid of it...But he gives up every time and now he's just 'Content with Losing'...Either makes sense to me... Anyway, he says: "I'm half way there and it's all on me This is what I get for wanting more This is the way it has to be Dancing on all these changes So I walk around with this rope in my hand So I'll tie it around and around I'll tie me down" What I get from the chorus is he's almost there and about to give up his addiction completely then he gives in and says, "This is what I get for wanting more..." and he 'ties himself down'. I don't know. Read the lyrics and maybe you'll get where I'm going (: Either way, it's a great song. |

Ok, after watching one of Aaron's sermons on Youtube...This is what I gained...To me it's about judgemental Christians and that they are no better than the unsaved... "You're uninviting Unrewarding And I'm misinforming you" Aaron talked about how an organization got together at Marilyn Manson concerts shouting at people and telling them that they are going to hell. That is obviously uninviting. and, "You got me up against your wall" ...judgemental. I don't know what it is about (That's why I came...Not to cry about Dallas.) but this is just my opinion. ;) |

Wow. These lyrics actually brought tears to my eyes!!lol!! It's awesome. And to me, it's about waiting for your husband/wife that God has prepared for you. I LOVE the part, "breathe taking the closest thing to me and my savior falling in love to a person i have never met but knowing she has salvation's fragrance" ahh! I love it. |

omg. Spencer does NOT suck. Spencer is awesome. And the fact that Aaron can sing and play the drums AT THE SAME TIME is amazing to me. And do it so well. So what's wrong with the "new" underoath? I think they sound incredible. ALSO...I didn't come to this site for opinions on the band. I wanted the meaning to this song. anyone?? Thank You. |
