Angels and Airwaves – Young London Lyrics 16 years ago
I agree with everyone's comments about it being about war. For me, it seems like Tom is comparing those who are in war and their loved ones to those who are not in war.

Suit up boys, we're on vacation
With endless day, and reservation
Saddest girls who will await while
Dying inside, how will they get by?

This is the one about the sarcastic view of soldiers in war and their loved ones. The men are off fighting, while they're girlfriends/wives/daughters wait for them and worry about if they'll ever come back.

Suit up boys, this ride is the weekend
Get down girls and dance with your best friend
Show yourselves and take what you ask for
Let it go, your fight's on the dance floor

Then this one is about the people who aren't in war. Instead of their fight being in some far off place, they are in their nation just living their lives how they want to. The boys hang out and the girls are dancing. Their fight is with their emotions, expressed through dancing. It's a really interesting comparison.

Angels and Airwaves – The Gift Lyrics 16 years ago
I don't know what this song is about exactly, but some of it seems to have a lot of religious significance. For example the chorus:

And now, I'll stop the storm if it rains
I'll light up a path far from here
I'll make your fear melt away
And the world we know disappear

Seems like the first line refers to the story of Jesus calming the storm on the sea with the apostles.
Second line just refers to Jesus as a symbol of light, lighting the way to Heaven,
The third line seems to refer to the whole "Do not be afraid" thing, and that you can always feel safe with Him.
And the last line I think refers to the end of the world and the Final Judgement

Lastly, I think the title of the song "The Gift" simply refers to Jesus as God's gift to the world.
The verses don't really match up with this interpretation, but it just seems like the chorus is all about it.

John Mayer – All We Ever Do Is Say Goodbye Lyrics 16 years ago
This is a great song. It's one that everyone who's had a first love can relate to. It's always hard to let go of that person since he or she was the one to give you that love that everyone wants and needs. So towards the end of it there are always multiple breakups and makeups because its so hard to let each other go. In John's mindset, all you ever do is say goodbye to each other, trying not to let it all go at once, waiting to see who will be the one to finally end it all. This song is seriously a great interpretation of those situations.

Angels and Airwaves – Lifeline Lyrics 16 years ago
i totally agree with you. this song is really like God is speaking, saying that HE is your lifeline, and that no matter how many mistakes you make (sins) He will always forgive you, and that He'll always be with you (footsteps by your side)

John Mayer – In Your Atmosphere (Where The Light Is version) Lyrics 17 years ago
i definitely agree with you. i also think though, that when he says "the 10 and the 2 are the loneliest sight" its also like his hands are clenched on the steering wheel out of the frustration of the situation he's dealing with.

John Mayer Trio – Good Love Is On The Way Lyrics 17 years ago
This is definitely one of my favorite songs of his. When i got out of a long term relationship i was hurting pretty badly, but listening to this song gave me optimism that i would find the "good love" that i'm supposed to have with the person i'm supposed to be with.
