this is such a great song by them, just like all their other songs i think this song is about a guy and a girl that are together and they love each other very much. but then some other guy likes the girl and the boyfriend is worried if she will leave him for the other guy. he says that he isn't the best and he's not perfect but he can give her something no one else can and thats his heart and soul. |

this is such a great song. every single time i hear it i think of this giril i am completely crazy about. i can relate to this song so well. i believe this song is about a guy that loves a girl and at one point they were together but the guy made a stupid mistake. maybe he cheated or just broke up with her. but he later realizes he cant live without her. she is his "only one". the first verse and second verse shows how when he was with her he just "through his words all around" like they didnt mean anything. but he knows he screwed up and he didnt know what he had till he lost it. the choruses show how he is trying everything in his power just so she knows how he feels now and so she knows that hhe admits he messed up but wants her back and will always love her no matter what. thats my interpretation of the song. i made a mistake with the girl i love. last year i had her but i THOUGHT i had feelings for her best friend and eventually went out with her but i still always loved the first girl. i still love her with everything i have and i would do anything at all for one last chance with her. no one can take my world an turn everything in it into some kind of beautiful miracle besides her |

the title of the song kinda gives it away. how no matter how bad things are going for you, there is always someone there for you to go through everything with you. you will get through everything and you will be stronger and better at the end. this song helped me through some hard times myself recently. everytime i listed to it it took me away from my life, it brought me above everything. i didnt feel the depression i had after the song was over. |

this song is not about the break up of blink. it is about death. its about a guy that has passed away and he never got to say goodbye to his girlfriend. and even though he is dead and gone he is still trying to say bye. he can still see his gf but she cant see him or hear him at all. tom said it himself in a youtube video called lyrical block or something. sad song and great song...with manny more to come from them starting summer 2009 |

Alot of the comments on this song are about how a guy cant seem to help his feelings for a girl but she keeps hurting him. and how he wants her to stay with some other guy so she inst viewed as an option to him. i felt the same way about this song completely. but i recently listened to it again and i realized that it could have a different meaning to it. im pretty much in the same situation as it and thats why i feel this way about the song now. i believe that this song could be about a guy that has very deep feelings for a girl. and he constantly puts himself out there and try's time after time to make any progress at all with the girl of his dream but she denies him every time("So i shake off defeat and i start again"). this shows how even though he gets hurt by her he still trys to make any progress. maybe not as specific as saying "no" to him but maybe just little things in her actions such as not paying as much attention to him as other people. which makes him believe she doesnt wannt him back or doesnt want to try with him. when they keep referring to this other guy she is with and saying "Dont leave her." i believe this guy that loves this girl want her to stay with this new guy because either he doesnt want her to get hurt or he simply doesnt want to see her as an option even though he still loves her. if she is taken he understands her cant have her if shes with someone else, but if she is free he will keep trying even though he keeps getting hurt. the line said by tom "Leave me standing on this lonely grave. I dug it out in case she turns away." focuses on the point that he knew he would get hurt if he tryed with her or flirted because he knew she wouldnt do it back. he would prepare himself for what would happen. so there it is. some of the first meaning i heard but some of another meaning. sucks i can completely relate though. amazing song and amazing band.
