I agree mostly. But maybe the girl feels compelled to sleep with the guy because she feels that is what he wants even though he's okay with just loving her. So, I think she kills herself (literally or metaphorically) because she's tired of having to go through all that. And in the end he's just talking about the guilt and the tragedy of being a guy who certain women feel they just need to fuck to keep happy. But then again, I think we interpret these songs based on our own lives and perspectives. |

I think this song is pretty obviously about a dead loved one. However, I think it's worth adding that these lyrics work pretty well with my ex, too. But that's not what this beautiful tune is about. American Horror Story, ftw. |

I guess I'm the only person who thinks this song is about death or suicide. "The soldier is bailing out/he curls his lips on a barrel"...that sounds like suicide via gun to me. Plus,the rest of the lyrics seem as though they refer to inner and familial turmoil. But I don't know anything. |

ahahaha You guys are all such losers. "I hate the popular kids! This song is the best!" You people wish you were popular and if you had the opportunity to be the kinds of kids this song is about, you would take it in a second. This a good song...it's just a shame it appeals to mainly lame outcasts like basically all of you who commented. |
