I'm pretty sure, the words are "I must have lost, 'cause crow jane won" it fits with the rhymes better, and if i'm not mistaken, i hear those words in the song. |

i think if this song hadn't used such harsh words and descriptions, it wouldn't have the effect it has. it would just be among any other song genre. but the lyrics and style of singing make it soo powerful. i'm not even black, i've never really had anything to be discriminated against, but this song almost makes me understand how it would have felt. |

| i agree, i think he's singing to a rebound girl, he knows he's still in love with his last girlfriend, and he's trying to move on, but he just can't, he's still completely emotionally attached. he feels bad for what he's going to do, and he knows its a mistake. he's lost in his thoughts of how he wishes he was someone else, and he knows he will never love this new girl, its just something to do in the meantime. | |

i think it's more about a friendship than a relationship. the words don't seem like they were hurt by a girlfriend, it seems like they were let down by someone they truly considered a friend. i could analyze this song until the end of time, i think the lyrics are really powerful and thought-provoking. two gallants definitely win my best lyrics award. |
