'Jobezark' you're entitled to your view... and i agree things like 'Mexican Wine' and 'Hey Julie' some FOW songs were made for pure enjoyment... i just don't think this is one of them... i reckon it's saying something general with a specific example... they're telling us to breathe and look at what's important and what matters through this one quarter back... :-] |

Hello... i love the get up kids and this song, to be specific... i'm not saying you guys are wrong or anything but i think this song means something totally different... i think it's about suicide... bare with me... i think it's about him telling 'hannah' not to do it even if things really suck...when he says "this isn't all we can do, when in doubt we move on" and the whole "by the time you read this i'll be gone" thing... but i suppose it's subjective and only the guy who wrote it would really know... just voicing my opinion... it's what the sites made for right? :-] |

When i hear this song it makes me think of falling in love with someone and being in love with them for a while but then watching them change and drift a way and become hollow... but still loving them despite knowing that they won't ever love you back.
then there's the hope that they'll come back to you or "open up again".
and you know that it's killing you to love them but they're always there and you "forget about them long enough to forget why [you] need to" as in you'll stay away from them and think that you're over them but when you try to get close again all the painful feelings come back.
or maybe i only think that because it's happening to me with this guy at school :-] |
