Hmm, how do I explain the birds and the bees to you in terms both simple and non offensively? Ah, yes. Ever think this song is a tribute to Metallica? Metallica have covered many King Diamond/Mercyful Fate songs and are known to be huge fans of them, so possibly the title and the subject matter of this song is a tribute to Metallica and their song Welcome Home (Sanitarium), which has a very similar name and is also about an asylum. Not to mention, King Diamond has an album called The Puppet Master which could be a reference to Metallica's Master of Puppets. Coincidence? I think not. |
