I love this song. Whenever I'm down about living in Texas and I think it would be cool to live in all these foreign countries I listen to this song. And after it's done I always think 'Texas is BADASS!', which is completly 100% true. And whether it says Fruit Flies or Fruit Pies, well, they both make sense. lol. For anyone who lives in Texas knows that the fruit flies are insane. They're everywhere. And yes Mexican food is for the state of Texas only. I had some in Colorado and it just wasn't right. It tasted awful. |

I thought it was directed towards his father who left him at an early age and to his daughter. This song always hits me hard, with all the passion he seems to put into it. Especially in the acoustic version. It makes me cry. |

I think this song is about being in a relationship (friend/boyfriend/girlfriend/ect) and they're never satisfied with you. Like you're always doing something wrong, you can never win, never do anything right. And you just feel completly useless. I had a friend who would always be mad at me for something I didn't do right. I'd constantly be asking what I did wrong to try to fix the situation but after a while it just got too difficult and now we don't even talk to eachother. This song always reminds me of that. Amazing song too(': |
