Yay first one to post! This is an amazing song, to me the meaning of the song is pretty much self-implied. We need to trust in love despite how hard and painful it may be sometimes. Through love we will find true happiness. |

I agree with davidecoyote, this song is mainly a call to action. I will agree that the song is repetitive, but that is the way they are trying to convey their message, and it is crystal clear and indisputable what they are trying to say. I think instead of making a complex song that people will sit around disputing and pontificating its meaning, they kept it simple and said basically: whom you think to be the enemy really isn't. I am currently listening to the album and every song seems to fit in the album, as a puzzle piece would in a puzzle;thus, making it apparent that they didn't just compose individual songs like everything before AI, they composed the entire album as one epic piece of art work. Bravo!

Tool has been one of my fave bands for the longest time, every album they release is a mind-blowing experience. Anyone that thinks this band sucks should shut the fuck up and go back to listening to the Jonas Brothers. As for the song, it's pretty much giving the finger to all of the people that follow a band when they are "underground," and as soon as the band goes mainstream those same people criticize the band for doing so. That is my interpretation at least... |
