Misguided Ghosts is a prequel to All I Wanted they both fit into each other. With that said, All I Wanted is about the other person in misguided ghosts the 1st verse that goes "I'm going away for a while but I'll be back don't try to follow me.." in All I Wanted its the person who gets that message and their response starts with "Think of me, when your out when your out there.." All I wanted was you but now that you have gone away we can't have that. the 2nd verse is pretty obvious "Pace my apartment a few times" to try to think of something other than that person who left and the next thing that person knows is they fall asleep on the couch and wake up to memories or dreams about the good memories. "That escape from my mouth" meaning the things I've said about us being together etc. The 3rd verse is the defining moment of the song IMO. When that person realize the other person might be gone away for a while longer the person tries to go back to the beginning up to the present and figure out what happened for the other person to leave. Just trying to move on and remember all the "favorite parts and slow them down" to enjoy them more. Another one of these songs that a lot of people can interpret differently and that is my interpretation considering I'm in college and you lose people you want to be with really fast and I just want her to know think of me when your out there and eventually i might pace around my apartment etc. |

You know guys this song could be about an addiction, sure I see the whole this song is about sex part but, i read it the lyrics and to me its about an addiction. "roses bloom, in a dirty room" - the place where the person usually takes what their addicted to, they feel that buzz that good feeling "I can't stay away" - I'm addicted and can't quit "I inhale, now I'm addicted"....obviously "You get up, You go down and then we go one more round" - person wants to quit but as soon as i start to quit I go right back to it and "go one more round" "it's wrong, they say but I can't stay away" - the person know other people thinks its wrong but the person still does it "I wish I could leave and never return I know I should" - person realizes this is wrong but addiction has completely taken over Just my two cents |

They should of done a music video for this song I could see it being dark and everything with rain lightning and insane camera movements ahh this song kind of has a system of a down feel to it especially with the rhythm in the chorus I love the entire album simply one of the best honesty I could see them do a cover of Pink Floyd's Echoes |
