A sense that it can refer to those who committed massacre at school (the columbine, the virginia tech massacre, hungerford massacre, etc). "Before I sputter out"...this song has got nothing sexual about it...its a little more serious than that. |

very catchy song.
this song is very hard to find out the meaning for. a lot people referred this song to drugs, media, and AVA. but i think there's also a hint of addiction, and it turning against "you". we can refer addiction to the media (how they are always there wanting to get more entertainment type news, etc) or drugs (we all know about drug addiction). in reference with AVA or box car racer - how the band members wanting to move on with their lives to continue with their own version of music - addiction lies there for self supremacy, and competition. at the end these bands will die out, and the ones left standing will be the fans (and for some reason they are refering the fans as she).
Besides that, this could be a how a frightened young girl taking drugs for the first time (probably due to peer pressure), and getting high from it and addicted by it, and now it is just killing her inside before it actually does. and we the people above just watching and not doing nothing about it. |

i think love does not get involved in this song. yes this song is about being a victim of a plane crash - and then facing reality that death is hear for you, but its only reffering to death, not life or love. the band also exclaimed this song to be sung as no one else will, it is important to talk about this subject of death in music and to know its there, and know that there is no shame in fearing death. but i believe the metaphor of love is truely aimed towards life and death.
