Keith Urban – You're Not My God Lyrics

I'm pretty sure that this is about addiction to Cocaine and overcoming that addiction. Hence, the lines
'Little white lines on a mirror
Cut neatly in a row'
He's doing lines of coke. But the reference to the dollar bill in the first line is both a reference to the cost of the drugs and the fact that often a rolled up note is used to snort the lines. but that's just my 2 cents |

Bloc Party – Letter to My Son Lyrics

This song always reminds me of The Cure. For some reason it sounds like it came off one of their albums (mind you with a touch of bloc party). Its one of my favourite bloc party songs, along with two more years surprisingly but yeah still can't shake its similarity with a song by the Cure... must be the opening chords. |

Bruce Springsteen – Used Cars Lyrics

I don't think Bruce is even in the car. Coz he can hear his sister hitting the horn on the test drive from further up the street. He's hanging back and talking to the salesman whilst the rest of the family take the test drive and tells the salesman that as soon as his numbers come up he's not going to buy a used car ever again. |
