I don't really think that it matters if the song is about God or not. I believe its up to the listener of the song to determine the meaning to them. Each person has their own interpretation of a song or anything else out there. The song means what you want it to mean and it can have multiple meanings as long as it helps you in life or through something in some way. To me personally, I didn't see God anywhere in either song or any other that I've heard by Red, and that really bothers me. I mean sure, they can say it has something to do with God but to any average person listening to the radio or something else, when they first hear this song, they probably wont go straight to thinking its about God. That's a problem cause any random person can write a song that has nothing to do about God but say it does and then get a whole lot more people to like the song just because they think its Christian. It also bothers me that Christian bands claim they are just trying to share their religion but at the same time they are making a profit. Sure, sometimes they give some to charity but other non Christian bands do that too. There's really nothing that can be done about it, but it just bothers me that they make a personal profit for things they say is for God. Now, I'm not saying that Red or any other Christian band does that either but I'm pretty sure some "Christian" band has done that and it's not right. I am personally in love with these songs though, I just don't think God has anything to do with it in my opinion. Believe me, I'm not bashing Red because I think they have really written a beautiful song with brilliantly composed music and lyrics that really speaks to a person's soul, I just don't see God in this song. I can see where someone can see God in it, that's just not what I thought when I heard the song. It can easily be about a loved one and has nothing to do with God at all and that's what thought. The whole point for this insanely long comment is that I think that the song has different meanings to different people. For the overly Christian people, it's about God. For the Average Joe or Plain Jane, it's jut another song about whatever they think it means. I apologize for the extremely large comment, thank you for reading xD |

I love this song! It reminds me of my girlfriend. She is just absolutely perfect but she wont admit it xD I love her so much but she wont agree that I think she is the most perfect girl out there, at least for me :) |
