Jon & Richie actually explained in an interview that this song is about a relationship, and it's gone so haywire that it's almost become an obsession for either one of the person in the relationship. Jon asks "If I was your mother, would you let me..." because you can't get closer to someone until you've given BIRTH to them. So it's a pretty twisted song, but I love it! :D |
